Company History
The history of our banners starts with Mrs. Beulah Newport of Crosby, then Trinity, Texas in approximately 1980. Although the process has evolved through the years, our banners are still completely hand made here in Texas and follow the same traditional appearance, as they always have.
Ted and Sandy Wiggins purchased Creative Designs by Beulah from Mrs. Newport in 2016 under the name of T&S Creative Designs LLC, dba East Texas T-Shirts and based it in Onalaska, Texas. In 2019, the Wiggins sold the custom apparel business line to focus on felt award banners. The banners are made between three satellite workshops located in Onalaska, Aransas Pass, and College Station. The Wiggins’ Daughters, Lexi and Cari, both currently enrolled at Texas A&M University, are two of the primary banner fabricators in the family owned business.
Ted and Sandy have both received Honorary Chapter FFA Degrees from the Onalaska FFA Chapter, as well as Honorary Lone Star FFA Degrees from the Texas FFA Association.
Lexi, a member of the Onalaska FFA Chapter, graduated high school in 2016 and was very active in Leadership, Career and Speaking Events, advancing to State Contests multiple seasons. She is graduating from Texas A&M College Station in Dec '19 with a Supply Chain Degree.
Cari, a two-year President of the Onalaska FFA Chapter, graduated high school in 2018. She too was very active in Leadership, Career and Speaking Events, advancing to numerous State Contests and culminating with being Individual Reserve National Champion for Homesite Evaluation at the National Land & Range Judging Contest in Oklahoma City. She is in the Education college at Texas A&M College Station.
